Просмотров 58 тыс.Месяц назад
The questions I get asked the most (aside from “What camera do you use?” - it’s my Samsung phone) is “Don’t you get nervous hiking and wild camping alone?” So I thought I would touch a little on this topic in today’s stealthy tarp camp. I’m not advocating solo hiking and camping, I’m just sharing where I’m coming from in my quiet little corner of the Shire and doing what I feel is within my com...

Hope you both have a lovely time 🙏
What a beautiful video.
Thank you 😊
What a wonderful video. Your voice , the music and the beautifully filmed scenery make it so relaxing. Thank you for posting.
Thanks Robin, happy to enjoyed it 😊
Your places are such a fairly land..😢
So cute ❤

Good cam work Rian. Good work all round Cam. Another beautiful video by the lady of the fells ❤🙏 congratulations, these videos are stunning
Thanks so much 😊
Better than ASMR vids these days! Very soothing and relaxing voice
Glad you enjoy them 😊
What a great video.
Hi Chloe, wow wow absolutely wow, this video is outrageous, stunningly beautiful scenes, like a movie, thank you so much for sharing, amazing work 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks Mark! Happy you enjoyed it 😊
Sorry where abouts did you camp, I didn't catch the name.
so many memories, i have a photo of my daughter hiding in that tree.
Aw haha that's nice.
Really excellent video with .lovely music.
Thanks Andrew 🙏
A very old, historycal land within the beauty of nature. A really good combination of exploring, experience, hiking, mental recovery in turbulent times. And a lovely narration from the heart of one of the deares girl in the scene. 😊🏞️♥️
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it 😊
❤@@FablesandFells
I painted the blue bells and the cave at Rydale. Beautiful Lake District beautiful video! Thanks. 🙏
Oh I would love to see that!
Wow what a beautiful video. Hopefully I can visit the Lake District in my dreams tonight.
Thank you 😊
I’m a little late in seeing this. Love your videos. Here in Montana nobody would go backpacking without carrying bear spray. I don’t even know if they sell that in the UK but it’s basically pepper spray. I’m sure it would work on aggressive dogs. Keep well.
Thanks for the thought. The police have PAVA but any sprays like that are illegal for the general public.
Lovely.
What a magical part of the world you live in. Your thoughtfully crafted videos and quiet tone really do it justice too. Wonderfully calm and peaceful.
Thank you so much 😊
Very nice thank-you! Happy trails.
Thanks for coming along 🐾
@@FablesandFells Any time.
Lovely vid - brilliant production values 🎉 - but let’s be honest ST Coleridge basically dossed everywhere he could get a free berth and dinner 😅
Thank you 😊 If it works it works 😄 He grew up just down the road from where I did in a little village in Devon so it interested me that he spent time up here too.
Great video! It really makes me want to visit England again, especially the English countryside.
Hope you get the chance 😊
Stunning scenery, I'm very lucky to have the Peak District very close by. Never been to the lake district but it's certainly something that has to happen.
For sure!
Well worth getting up at silly o'clock for that, simply stunning and tranquil, you certainly have a special connection with nature, my favourite part was when Cam ran into the water, tail wagging and looking so happy.
Thank you 😊 Me too, that jump 😄
Aren't you supposed to be in your underwear like every other RUclipsr??
Everyone I watch has clothes 🤷🏻♀️
Beautiful, thankyou.
Thanks for coming along 🌸
Just beautiful, thank you for your videos.
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
What microphone are you using? You have increadible audio
Audio has always been problematic for me 😅 Currently using the DJI Mic 2 while out and about and then a Tonor mic for voiceovers. I layer the other sounds (lake, river etc) separately.
What microphone are you using? You have increadible audio
Replied on your other comment 😊
What a beautiful video to share with us. Thank you
Hello Chloe, thanks a lot for another visual treat! Love your videos to bits! Stunning, beautifully edited images with your mesmerising and hypnotic voice to boot! FYI: yesterday a decision was made over a dram; long weekend in Lake District in early October, 3 full days of walking and wild camping 🏕️. Any ideas where we should walk? Much prefer first hand info from you to google search. Take care ❤️👋
Thank you so much 😊 Do you have an area in mind to narrow things down? There's so many possibilities! ⛰️
Never been there before, hence asking an expert 🤩
I'm not an expert 😄 What general distance & elevation are you comfortable with per day?
I suppose 20 km per day is optimal, elevation is probably not be an issue. With that in mind the total length should be about 60/70 km
I don't tend to do specific recommendations as I don't know anyone's nav abilities but overall, the Langdale Valley is a good intro to the lakes and is a great base. There are some free parking spots otherwise a couple of national trust car parks. As it's October, these fells mentioned below are rockier so would fair better than the grassier fells which can be a bog-fest that time of year. If it were me, I'd maybe do something like... Day 1: Head up Rossett Gill past Angle Tarn and go do Great Gable and camp around there. Day 2: Lots of options such as corridor route to Scafell Pike then over Ill Crag to Head back to Esk Hause. You could then have the option of doing Esk Pike and Bowfell and camp around Cold Pike or Pike of Blisco. Day 3: Option to drop into Wrynose Path so you get back down to the Langdale valley via Blea Tarn, otherwise you can take a more direct route off Pike of Blisco. The view of the Langdales from Blea Tarn is probably the most iconic view. Have a chill at the pub and ditch your camping gear back at the car with the potential to head up to Stickle Tarn and do the Langdale Pikes circular out to High Stile. There's good options to extend or shorten any of this. Obviously if you're wild camping, it will really depend on weather at the time. E.g. It maybe better in the eastern fells and worse in the western plus any wind, temps etc may determine if you do small or bigger fells etc. Hope that helps as a starting point.
Lovely video, Cam is just a bundle of joy. I'd love to be able to have another dog some day. Certainly living the best life. I'd love to have a go at wild swimming but I'm not sure if I have the confidence to do it. Pizza looks great, unfortunately I'm gluten free so they are more for looking at and drooling nowadays haha. Keep doing what you are doing. Lovely relaxing content.
Thank you, he really is. Aw well I didn't have wheat/gluten for years so I feel you on that. I used to make gluten-free pizza bases as the supermarket ones weren't very good. They're quick and easy to make. I imagine there are more and better shop version these days?
@@FablesandFells I tend to put two gluten free tortillas sandwiched together with a mature cheese spread then go very light on the toppings. Caputo flour do a gluten free version but it's nearly 10 pounds for a kilo. So only buy it for the occasional treat.
Thanks for those stunning views!
Thanks so coming along 😊
I think you're like me, someone who is always Alone or that likes to be alone....!!!!!
97% introvert 😅
@@FablesandFells I see...
Brilliant! Yes, I would love to see more at Grasmere. It's such a timeless and peaceful place. Cheers!
I'll try get some of the cottage interiors 🏡
Coffee Treat For You!
That's most kind, thank you 🥺 I was waning by the end of that shoot as shooting always makes it a long day 😄 so a café pick-me-up would be a big help ☕🍪. Cam says half is his treat allowance though 🐕
Amazing walk in the wonderful nature as I being there!🎆
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
A fabulous video...Grasmere is me and my wife's favourite place. We visit a couple of times a year and it's so lovely seeing the places on your video that we've visited many times over the years. Thank you for making and sharing this 😊. Oh and Cam is so cute 🐾
Ahh how lovely, glad you enjoyed seeing this 😊
Very beautiful video! Thank you.
Thanks for coming along 😊
Beautifully filmed 👍
Thank you 🙏
Oh this is perfection
Glad you enjoyed seeing it 🌸
Such a lovely homage to Grasmere and Wordsworth. I found myself reading again of his youthful boat-stealing that was rebuked by a stern crag as he stole across a lake…
Aw lovely 🙏
00:01 is so beautiful it should be a painting
You captured the soul of this beautiful landscape with your cinematography. The pace of different shots, your narration and choice of music is really well balanced and so is your dog's happy jump into the lake. I enjoyed watching 💚
Thanks so much Sylvia 😊
Hi Chloe, That piece of music playing as you walk around the lake sounds sort of familiar, would it be based upon somebody's last song???
I'm not sure if that was an inspiration for them. All of the music I use is royalty-free 🎶
Love your episodes Chloe. You really have a feel for putting together a serene mood. Thanks ❤
Thank you 😊
